Hi,
I have an Edward James STONE born about 1819 married to a Hannah HANAM in 1839. Can anyone find any information showing who Edward's parents were?
Thank you,

Thanks Karenlee, this matches some other information I have previously found about Edward, i.e. born St Lukes and it appears he went on to become a Card Maker and name one of his daughters Mary Caroline, so I'd say this is my man :)
Thank you!
-
Do you want any other baptisms for children of Edward and Caroline if I can find any??
Cheers

So she should appear on the 1841 Census.

So is LIGHTERMAN the surname???
-
No Lighterman is his occupation... he worked on small river boats.
Surnames should always be written in capital letters to distinguish them from other names.

Actually I'm guessing Lighterman was his occupation after Googling the term:

Another interesting link that looks promising for more information about James and his ancestors:

Hi
Going back to the STONE family, I think this might be Edward STONE the Card Maker, father of Edward James. Unfortunate but no marital status supplied ....

Thanks Karen.
Edward's would've been dead by this time as per your earlier posting:
Caroline Mary Ann STONE died June Qtr 1848 St Lukes 2 229
So perhaps this why there is no martial status listed? This would back Edward snr's birth year about 1797 which is similar to Caroline's, so based on that and the Paper Maker occupation, I'm pretty confident this is our man!
