if any one can help I am looking for burial information of a James Flood father James mother Mary I can't find any death registration for him. his wife died on 12/11/1891 in Junction Reefs and is buried in Lynhurst if any one has access to the cemetery or cemetery records I thought there might be information on the transcript on her grave. or and obituary would help

Was she about the same age as James
Perhaps her death certificate might show if she was a Widow.

We think James died some where between 1891 to 1903.
on Catherine death certificate it states her as a married woman which indicates that James was still alive when Catherine died with influenza at the age of 72 that makes her born around 1819. I thought James may have died the same way. thank you for your help it is very much appreciated

Hmm There is one other although a long way away.
This is right parents with no birth record but seems a bit of a stretch.
9245/1881 FLOOD JAMES J JAMES MARY NARRANDERA.
It is a bit before the supposed death too.
Maybe not the right one.

Hi peter, Are you a part of the family that the original post is looking at and have you been in touch?
Neil ;D

No,
I'm chasing death and burial of the JAMES FLOOD (aged 30) arrived 5 October 1840 Sydney
"Elphistone" with wife CATHERINE, and brother THOMAS (28) and 3 children JOHN, THOMAS jnr and BIDDY all from KILDARE IR. They settled at CARCOAR.
I purchased the death cert of JAMES J in 1881 Narrendra son of JAMES and MARY to find he was a 4 yr old boy. SAD!
ANY IDEAS ON THE WHEREABOUTS OF JAMES who died after 1847 sometime, someplace???????
Thanks Peter
-
Misunderstood your Q YES I am related to the JAMES FLOOD looking for history
Thanks Peter

Hi Peter and Chatso, There is another James Flood died Sydney 1891. I know this is not anywhere near carcoar but both his parents are listed as unknown. It would make him 81 a pretty good age in those days.
1283/1891 FLOOD JAMES, Father UNKNOWN Mother UNKNOWN, SYDNEY
Long shot, but maybe he had been in Sydney for a reason. Possibly an accidental death?
EDIT TO NOTEI did not see the other thread until now!
A Waste of time searching I see. >:(

Catherine FLOOD wife of JAMES FLOOD died of influenzia aged 72 on 12 november 1981. She is buried at LYNDHURST down the road SW of CARCOAR.
Her Death Certificate suggests her husband was still living.
The JAMES FLOOD who was found drowned in the Harbour off Dawes Point on Saturday August 1st was subject to a City Coroner Inquest on 3 August 1981.
If it was Catherine's husband her death certificate would have indicated she was a widow.
So still searching!!!!!!!
Will keep you posted of the follow up.
Regards Peter
