Title: McKenzie family
Post by: ceebees on Saturday 26 June 10 20:54 BST (UK)
  Hi

I  found  a  relation   of  mine  buried  in   Nellfield Cemetery, Aberdeen and  I am  wondering  if  anyone  has a list  of  the    other information   on   her grave.

My  relation is  Jane McKenzie  aged 19 months   daughter of James  McKenzie and Jane Collie

Thanks

  Carol

The burial registers for Nellfield Cemetery are searchable online at www.deceasedonline.com.  It's a pay per view site, but searches are free (much like Scotlands People).   If it has a grave reference, you should be able to see the others who share that reference.  Aberdeen City Archives (www.aberdeencity.gov.uk/archives) have the actual burial registers.

There aren't any monumental inscriptions for Nellfield though, but if you find the location of the grave perhaps you could then ask someone to take a picture for you (if you can't go yourself!)

What is the date of the death / burial?

  Hi

Jane  McKenzie died  on 13/4/1871 and  was  buried  on 17/4/1871 the grave  number at Nellfield  is /1121.

I  have  checked  on deceased online and   one  other   person named  McKenzie was listed with her  but  she is  no  relation.

I would  love  any  information  available  on  her  or  other  members  of the family  that  maybe  buried  in the grave.

 Thanks

Carol

I'd contact the archives in Aberdeen as they have the original burial and lair registers for Nellfield to see if they can help.  Their contact details can be found at www.aberdeencity.gov.uk/archives
