Am interested in any information or image on a property called variously Pen Prisk or Pen Prise House, also the property Ty Bran / Trefan / Tryfan, at or near Pen Coed or Coychurch Glamorgan. Do they still exist ? I do not require any census info.
Pen Prise House was the home of a blacksmith Richard & Elizabeth David nee' Oriel from circa 1853 to after 1898.
Not for the first time in my research their's is a marriage that appears to be missing from GRO for pre 1855.
It is quite lightly that Richard David is related to the David's family of Ty Bran / Trefan Farm at Coychurch where a member of this family, Margaret David had mrd John Oriel Chelsea Pensioner & late Overseer of the Carmarthen Workhouse, later occupier of the Kings Head Pen Coed (I already have piccies from a visit here).
I have previously photographed the David/Oriel grave at Salem Calv. Chapel, Pen Coed.
Tks in advance, if I can do anything in return in Pembrokeshire please let me know.

Can't give you any information, but 'Penprysg' will get you results.

there's an Elizabeth Oriel marriage at Bridgend in 1857 Sep Q but no matched spouse. The page reference is incomplete in the BMD transcription but you can see it on the original image.

is this the right family?
I think Penprysg is an area of Pencoed.

Elizabeth Oriel marriage at Bridgend in 1857 Sep Q
Back in the late 1970's, I index'd all Oriel's B/M/D from the GRO for 1837 to 1975 at the then St Katherines House and all Oriel wills 1858 to 1975 at the then Somerset House and computerized the initial results on a Sinclair ZX81. Elizabeth's husband of 1857 is still one that eludes me, having purchased so many cert's over the years I have to find other ways to establish the info. In this case I suspect this is the mrge of Elizabeth to Richard David in Pen Coed or Coychurch.
As you will understand after 40 years I am not new at this game.

Hi Oriel,
(I've no idea of your name)
Thanks so much for your info on the baptism of Stephen John, 1813 in Clarbeston. I can't contact you on Ancestry as currently not paying, I don't have the time to devote to it. I really appreciate your reply!
Kind regards,
Evelyn, Stephen's great great great great whatever - I need to dig out my notes again, obviously.
