Title: John RUDDOCK birth abt 1682 longbridge Deverill?

Hi,

I would be very grateful if anyone can help me? :)

I'm trying to find out where in Wiltshire John Ruddock (Ruddick) was born, which in turn may help me go further back with his parents.

I found him on the IGI with 1682 in Wilts! He later went on to marry Abigail in 1706 and children soon followed in Brixton Deverill.
I can't find him in baptisms for Brixton, Monkton,Hill and Kingston Deverill, however there does seem to be some gaps!
I haven't been able to look at Longdridge Deverill and this could be a possibility. But I'm aware it could be any where in Wilts!!

Any help or advice would be greatly received.

Hi Brian,

Could he have been a bit older

John RUDDUCK baptised 28 Mar 1665 Brixton Deverill parents John and Frances

I have seen that connection too but thought it may be a long shot, unless it was a second marriage! 8)
Thanks very much though, I probably should look at that possibility!
I'll keep my options open in case someone can find a 1682 birth/baptism!

In the hope that I can find the above birth, I've added longbridge Deverill to the title, to catch any look up volunteers!

I would be most grateful for any help or advice.

Failing that any bmd activity for Ruddock in a similar time frame would be great.

Hi Brian,

There were no Ruddocks (or similar spelling) baptised at Longbridge Deverill. I have looked at the register.
