Looking for any family info or records regarding a Thomas Mccarthy b 1858
Joined British military 1876 at Woolwich Kent and records indicated b Fermoy Cork (parish Fermoy)RC
Marriage record states father John  was a farmer

I would of thought church records are best to go for ,name too common for civil registration.
