Hi
can anyone supply any info on Royal Munster Fusiliers on tour of India 1883/1899.
My Grandfather was there before going to South Africa but I don't know anything more about it.

Hi Neil 1821
Impressive!
Might you know anything about the Dorset Reg in India?
My Great grandfather was in the regiment at least 21 years as he got his LS&GCM. He died in Calcutta aged approx 40 sometime 1890-1900, we don't know a year. He joined up in County Antrim probably when the regiment was here/or maybe transferred into it from another regiment. Hard following up that side of the family.
Thanks.

Hi Neil,
I have my Grandfathers army records which show he was in India 27/11/1893---2/3/1899.
I hoped  someone would have any records of the RMF  been based there.
thanks for anything more you would have,
