I have a rellie who died at 130 Monyhull Hill Road, KN - is this the address for some sort of institution? I was told my rellie was institutionalized as a child early 1900s, but no one knew why (possibly mentally challenged?).
Anyone familiar with this area?
Thank you,
EmilyViolet

Thank you for the link -very interesting.
I'm still a bit confused - since my rellie was institutionalized since childhood I didn't expect her to have any children, but her son signed her death certificate as informant.
very peculiar!
Anyone have any thoughts on this?

hi,,what surname did she have when she died,,,what surname did the son have? do you have any idea when the son was born? ;)
-
She was born and died with the last name Essex and the son was last name Essex. I don't know when he was born or anything else about him - just that her son John Essex signed her death cert in 1972 - at that time his address was 220 Station Road Whitacre Heath Coleshill.

Thanks for looking - the closest I found so far was a john Essex born in 1937 Warwick - Lily would be 41 though and I still don't understand how she could be committed to an institution and raise a child - wouldn't a baby born under those circumstances be placed elsewhere - maybe put up for adoption?
