 I have Murrays on my tree from 1870s on.  Whatever happened to Murray House/ Hotel?

Sorry not of much help, I lived in Crawford and vaguely remember a story of the hotel being consumed by fire, I have no proof just a memory. Looking at the photo in the link from Monica hubby thinks part of the remains were turned into the Tudor house hotel, later renamed Williams rest, then a private house or flats. There is a tourist info office in Biggar the nearest to Crawford, I wonder if they could help you?
