I would like to know what AFFID means when written on a burial transcprition? after the name is has AFFID 3rd or 20th, can someone please let me know what this means.

I would have thought it stands for affidavit - ie a formal sworn statement of fact.

What exactly does the transcript say?

Does it date to between 1670s & 1770 or thereabouts? It could be to do with being buried in wool.
