Title: What regiment is this please?

Can anyone please help identify what regiment the chap in the photo was in. Hopefully I have included a close-up of his collar-dogs.

I'm afraid the collars are still too small to make out...Could you do a high res re scan pse?

This is the best I can do, the photo is not all that clear. Any suggestions at all would be most welcome, I realise that this is a difficult ask. Perhaps the patch on the pith helmet may help, although I know sepia isn't all that useful!
