trying to find descendants of frederick james brooks, married toi adelaide sarah cook., lived in elm park rd reading, 3 children, stanley, eddie, and hilda. i am hildas daughter.

Would Fred have been b around 1919 , (died 1996)?

or the other candidate is

Adelaide S Brooks    aged 76y     d1948
Frederick J Brooks     aged 83y   d 1957

Only the people you mention are living in the road you mention in 1911, no Doris in that household, also it states that they only had 3 children.

I don't think she does, I think that Pauline may have been looking at another family in the 1911 census
