Hi everyone
My 5 x ggfather is George Myers who was born circa 1765 in Hornsea and later married Jane Wallis on the 7th of November 1789 in Long Riston. In the following 21 years they had at least 8 sons and 1 daughter,namely:-
Robert born 7 Oct 1790
John " 27 Jun 1794
William circa 1797
Robert " 1801
Joseph " 1802
Francis " 1804
John " 1806
Thomas " 1808
Thomasin " 1810
Is there anyone who knows of any siblings for George. Any information would be most appreciated.
Thank you
Yorky Lad.

Hi Yorky Lad and welcome to Rootschat.......I don't know if there is anything on "Rootweb Worldconnect" in their family trees...Most seem to be from North Yorkshire....Tried to copy and paste the link...but it wouldn't let me ::) ::) Is the Lusby Family website yours that I found online with Myers Family?
There are 14 Member Trees with a match on Anc&stry and not one of them have named parents for your George....was he an orphan or Baseborn child I wonder :-\

Hi Carol
Yes. Mark Lusby is related to me in that his great grandfather (Charles Lusby) married George Myers's 3 x great granddaugher Elizabeth Myers who who have been my great great aunt.
I will have a look on "Rootsweb Worldconnect" and see what transpires.
However thank you ever so much for your response to my enquiry.

hello yorky lad - Glad to hear we are related
Mark Lusby

Hi Mark
Yes, I think we have exchanged correspondence in the past although it be quite some time ago.
Herbert Lusby of 1894 would have been may 3rd cousin 2 x removed. I have been on one of your sites and was quite interested in the bible frontispiece showing the births of several Myers and Lusby children one of which includes Herbert.
I have been trying for some time now to find siblings of George of 1765, but with little luck, however I've had recent contact from Christopher Pearce via GenesReunited and his tree contains a Frederick Miers c. 1700 - 1741 who according to him would have been Georges grandfather.
Once I get details of births, marriages etc I will add him to my tree. Have you been able to get any further back from George. I would be most interested to learn if you have.
If you require anymore information from me please dont hesitate to PM me
Regards

My great grandmother was Thomasin Myers, my grandfather was one of children to Richard ??? Taylor. My grandfather was Frederick Taylor born in Rawcliffe in 1876. So that probably makes us distant relatives. Andrea
