Hello,
I am trying to find the death of James Allan Nelson. He was born on 3 January 1925 in Hamilton, Scotland and travelled to Canada in 1952. In 1954 he was living at Princes or maybe Princess Avenue, London, Ontario.
I think he died between 1954 and 1966 and would like to see any records relating to him.
Can anyone help find his death, please. It would be much appreciated.
Thank you.

How's your research going on James Allan Nelson, wife Agnes Scott Baird? His sister Jeanie Hewitt Nelson was married to my grandfather George McGaan, although they got divorced, she was his second wife.

There isn't a central registry for BMD events in Canada as it is a provincial jurisdiction. If he did die in Ontario, deaths from that time period are covered by privacy laws. You might want to consider contacting the London Public Library to see if they can find him in any directories or even possibly an obituary in the local newspaper. Here's a link to their website:

Thanks ClootieDumpling for your message. I had forgotten I had posted here!
Research on this has been put on a "back burner" in the meantime but I will check it out again real soon.

Thanks Sandra for that information. What I need to do now is find the family tree that James connects to!
My tree is huge and I have done so many for friends that it will take some time and effort to add him in.
Much appreciate your help.
