Hoping someone can assist me ?
Without going into a long story.. I have a Robertson relative who married
a James Gray-Brown 1947 in Glasgow, I've been checking out Death
Records for 'Gray-Brown' have found a few folk with this 'unusual' surname,
but nothing re a James or Hannah Gray - Brown?
They may well have emigrated after thier marriage..??
Suggestions welcomed...
Thank you - Anne

Hello Anne
Have you check the outbound passenger lists available on a ppv basis on www.findmypast.co.uk? Unfortunately double-barrelled surnames are very difficult to use on many search engines.
Anna :)

I'm sure you've checked the 3 below and discounted them. Regards, Steve

Hi Anna & Piglet, thank you for responding so promptly, appreciated..
I've access to Ancestry.com, to date I've not been able to find anyone
with the Gray-Brown surname.
Hannah McCue Robertson & her sister Jessie Walker Robertson (appear to be twins) b 1920,
Glasgow.
Hannah & Jessie's parents were 'WILLIAM ROBERTSON (Not James as I wrote earlier)
and Annie McFadyen - William's Father was Robert Robertson - Mother Jessie Walker
From Scots Peep, found a Robert & Jessie married 1882 in Dundee..
Annie & William Married 1919 in Blythswood. Glasgow, Annie died 1968.
Still to find William's Death.
::) Back to the Drwing Board.

Ancestry is wonderful in so many ways - but won't help you with outbound (from the UK) passenger lists ;)

I have an Uncle James Gray-Brown that got married in Glasgow at that time, I also have an aunt Hannah, would be a hell of a coincidence is it wasn't them.
