Hi, are you sure there is more than one church named St. Paul in Deptford? Very unusual if so. On googling, the same one appears constantly. R. :)

Thank you both for getting back to me,
The reason for asking was looking on Ancestry for Births , Marriages also Deaths, I found they have both St Paul's Deptford also St Paul's Deptford High Street.
So I would now assume they are the same Church,
Thank you again

Deptford is not a very large area, and there is only 1 St. Pauls Church there and addresses of Deptford Church & Deptford High Street are misleading. The church is now on a triangular spit of land which surrounded by Deptford Church Street, Mary Ann Gardens & Crossfield Street. Mary Ann Gardens & Crossfield Street meet at one end in Deptford High Street.
This church is one of the last in London which still has its original interior. I believe it is one of the Hawksmoor churches. Very beuatiful inside.

Yes must agree the Church does look very grand
I am interested in the Church as some of my family were married and baptized there,in the early 1800s the last time I visited this area the Church was being done up with a fence around it, do you know if it is completed yet?

I was there just a couple of weeks ago, didn't go in but there were no apparent works going on outside and the grounds were fully open.

Thank you
Will have to go back, and see if I can take a look inside, if and when the rain ever stops.
