hello pauline the first cencus i found was 1851 he was with a mary aboy called john living in masborough . 1n 1861 hes living at conisborough with george and kate i think her middle name is oretta between 1861 and 1871 he had another boy called john henry who is my husbands grandad i cannot find his birth at all regards ann wood

With Wood being such a popular name your best bet to find James' marriage would be to get mary's Maiden name from Kate's Birth cert.
You will not find a Marriage cert for John Wood & Hannah (too early)

hello pauline thank you your reply I have done what you said and got a copy of kate oretta birth cert her dad was james wood and she was born 28 may 1858 mother mary jepson now i have to get there mc i also can now get john henry bc now i know is mothers name thank you again ann

hi pauline I wonder if you can help me please I have just had a three year search done for john h wood 1865 to 1867 at gro they have come up with nothing .I have been told to go to wakfield and do a 5 year baptism search in heckmonwike and dewsbury I wonder if I can buy cd or books with baptism for this time that I want .thank you ann
