Lucia,
Just to say I have just discovered by first Darvill/Darvell.
I link with a Mary Ann Darvell b. 1816 who gives birthplace as Lamyatt. Her father is Charles, and I believe he was b. Great Missenden some time prior 1800.
As yet I have nothing else, as I've only just reached them, and only began my research on them yesterday.

Hi, I'm researching KING -- Brothers Charles & Joseph. Both immigrated to US(Kansas) -- Charles w/family (Wife Rhoda Smith, son Harry, daughter Fannie) in 1870. Joseph immigrated prior to that. Charles was born approx. 1834. Son Harry born in 1859 in Bucks. Any connection???
Regards,
Cathy

I have SEAR in my tree - my grandmother was a Florence Mabel Sear who was born (as was I) in Market Harborough, Leicestershire but whose family originated from New Bradwell / Padbury in Buckinghamshire.
Do we have anything in common?

Hi! While researching Eliza Clark b. 1848 a "Visitor" in the home of William & Prudence King in Middle Claydon 1861, the household of John & Harriet Clarke in 1851 Steeple Claydon turned up. Other than Clarke, other Surnames in the household are Coxhill, Boughton and Sear.
William Sear unm 21 <1830> b. Padbury Brickmaker
Anything you are looking for?

Looks interesting - what was the relationship between William Sear and John & Harriett Clark - was he just a visitor.
Have you got the census ref. and I'll have a look.
Thanks.

Hi!
1851 Steeple Claydon, Buck
John Clarke Head 55 Mason Bricklayer b. Steepe Claydon
Harriett Clarke Wife 36 Lacemaker b. Adstock
Henry Coxhill son 15 Ag Lab b. Steeple Claydon
John Coxhill son 13 Ag Lab b. Steeple Claydon
Eliza Clarke dau 3 b. Steeple Claydon
Thomas Clarke son 1 month b. Steeple Claydon
John Boughton Unm 21 Brickmaker b. Padbury
William Sear Unm 21 Brickmaker b. Padbury
Further from IGI/Free BMD
John Clark m. Sarah King December 17, 1819 Steeple Claydon
John Coxhill m. Harriett Sear 30th Nov 1835 Padbury
John Clark m Harriett Coxhill Dec Qtr 1846
So Clarke family of 1851 seems to be a blend of Harriett Sear Coxhill Clarke's sons from her 1st marriage to John Coxhill
And her dau Eliza and son Thomas with John Clark.
Would seem John Sear could be Harrietts Brother or nephew?
Have not made a link yet between above Eliza Clarke to EC found in William & Prudence King's household in 1861 Sand Hill Steeple Claydon at age 13 (lacemaker) -- unless their dau Maria was having a friend visit.........
Nor the connection to the Sarah King 1st wife of John Clarke to "my" Kings.
Let me know if you have anything that fits.

I was wondering if any of you have the surname Climpson or Hatchett in your files. I am looking for an Emily Climpson, born about 1868 in Amersham Buckingham England. She had three brothers--Joseph, James and William. She also had a sister, Mary Hatchett with 7 children. Their names are Alice, Minnie, James, Rosie, Florrie, Thomas and Emily. Her Husband's name was Joseph. Her parents probabaly are John and Fannie or Florence Climpson. John was from Chesham Bois and Fannie from Amersham. Any information about this family would be greatly apprecited. I would like to go as far back as possible on this family. Emily Climpson was 22 years old in 1891. I believe she was born in 1869. Her father John was 33 in 1861 and her mother Fannie would have been 29. Thank you very much!!!! Catherine Climpson

Hi,
My SEAR(E) line is mostly in Bucks near the Beds border.
Johanna SEAR who married George ROLLINGS in 1802 in Eaton Bray, Beds. was christened in 1787 in Cheddington, Bucks. She was apparently an only child. Her parents Joseph SEAR & Rebecca TATHAM were mar in Wing in 1785. He was son of Samuel SEARE & Ann PRETTY chr in Mentmore in 1764.
Samuel & Ann also mar in Wing in 1748. Samuel chr Cheddington in 1720 was son of Thomas SEARE & Elizabeth SEABROOKE married 1708 Whitchurch, Bucks. From here it is mostly Cheddington back through the 1600s. The reseach from marriage of Thomas & Elizabeth back was someone else's and I am accepting but haven't gotten into the records to be sure there are no alternatives.
If it looks like your family fits in, let me know and I will give you more info.
It would help if you gave a date and location of the earliest on each surname or at least a time frame.
