Looking for death of Cousin  Terry Connor  b. 23 April 1940  Manchester England  died roughly 1988 some where I believe in Northern Territories never knew exactly here he lived  I know its a long shot but dont know how to search Austraila

The Ryerson index give these two references but neither look like the chap you are after:

Terence William CONNOR, late of Burwood (Victoria)  - Probate notice in The Age (Melbourne) 24JAN2006 
Terry CONNOR  Death notice in  Herald Sun (Melbourne) 8 NOV2004

Unfortunately most Australian BMD sites don't allow access for records as late as the one you want.

There is a record on the National Archives for an emigration with a family which includes a Terry Connor.  Search as a guest on this site:
