I'm looking for information on the DELANEY family of Mountpleasant near Ballyboy, in the parish of Killoughy.
My GGG Grandparents were John (c1829- 1923) and Bridget (c1829- 1914) Delaney, who settled in the Richmond area of Yorkshire in the mid 1860s.
According to the 1911 Census, John Was born in Mountpleasant and Bridget also in Kings Co. They had been married for 66 (a record back then!) years, so this would put their marriage date at c1845 when they were both aged about 16. All their children were born in Cavan according to the 1871 Census.
Any information welcome.

Mountpleasant estate was owned at that time by the O'Connor Morris Family. In his 1895 book, Memories and Thoughts of a Life, which is available to read free of charge on line at http://www.onread.com/writer/William-O-connor-Morris-171721, and can be ordered in print on-line, O' Connor Morris describes the famine years on his estate and the emigration which occured. The family were seen as good landlords at the time, but the failure of the potato crop drove many tenants to the roads and abroad.
