Title: Mayors of Shoreditch

I am interested in a list of mayors of Shoreditch.  I know one of my ancestors should be on the list, but I don't have a name.  It would have been in the 19th century and, perhaps up to the 1920s. I have written to Tower Hamlets three times, and they have never got back to me.  I should have thought there was a list in the civic buildings somewhere.  Can anybody give me a hand?

Have you tried a Google search?
Put in      Mayors of Shoreditch     and you should get Hackney Archives. You could then contact them.
