Hi, I'm looking for any baptisms for children of Thomas Woolley & Frances who were married in Sudbury in 1796.
I've had a look in the IGI but the baptism records on there for Sudbury only start in 1812.
If anyone has access to Sudbury records from 1796 to 1812 I'd be really grateful if you would check for any Woolleys.
Many thanks :)

Hi Catey
I have access to Sudbury baptisms 1673 - 1810 & then 1812 - 1884, but there are no baptisms to Thomas & Frances before 1813. The first is a Frances 1813, Mahalath 1816 & Harriett 1819.

Thanks very much Carol, that's helped a lot. :)

Hi Catey
I don't know if you have noticed these baptisms on the IGI at Doveridge, which is only a couple of miles from Sudbury.
Paul Woolley 6 May 1804
Nanny Woolley 21 Sept 1806
George Woolley 13 Nov 1808
Jane Wolley 17 Feb 1811
All baptised to Thomas & Frances Woolley

Thanks Carol, I'd found the first 3 of those but not Jane in 1811, so that's another one to add to the tree. :)
I found a record for one of the kids being hired as a servant:
'Hannah Woolley of Ipstones, Staffs dau of Thomas & Frances Woolley of Sudbury to Edward Madely of Sudbury, farmer. 1813'
This daughter Hannah also puts Ipstones as her place of birth in the census, but I can't find a baptism for her in the IGI for Ipstones which is strange.
So it looks like Thomas & Frances got married in Sudbury and then went to Ipstones (where I think Frances was born) for a while, then came back to Doveridge/Sudbury.
Do the records you have for Sudbury give more details than the IGI? I've got a marriage of Hannah Woolley to Samuel Chaddock in 1826 in Sudbury, but I'm not sure if it is the right Hannah as it doesn't give the parents names.

Hi Carol, thanks very much for looking up the marriage for me :)
From those witness names it looks like it is the right Hannah, because I know her brother-in-law was George Dicken, and one of her sister-in-laws was Anne Mould.
Thanks again for finding it for me :)

I'm searching for a marriage between a William Baker and a Diana/Dinah? who says in 1851 that she was born in Sudbury c1769.
In 1841 they're both living in Kent so I'm not sure where they married.
Can anyone help please, if only to eliminate Sudbury as their marriage place?
Thanks,
Sue
