Is it Walter Nash the NZ Prime Minister?

Looks very like Walter Nash - former Prime Minister of New Zealand

Looks a bit heavy built for Walter Nash.
As for your Dad Annie - to me he looks a ringer for our current Prime Minister John Keys ::) ::)

He looks quite plump here - on the cover of his biograpy:
-
He does, but I think the profile is too different to the one in my pic.
Votes are about 50% Sid, 50% Walter :-\

Hi
I would say it was Walter Nash.
During WWII he spent quite abit of time as our ambassador in the US.
We were training our air force in Canada for the RAF in Europe.
It's possible the photo might have been taken overseas
I have seen photos of Sid Holland & it isn't him!!
Cheers

Thanks Berylm
It could well be taken overseas, Dad was based in England most of the war.
Cheers

Definitely not Sid Holland or Walter Nash - who was Gov General in war years? He has the look of Bernard Fergusson (Gov Gen in 60s-70s). His father was Gov Gen if I remember rightly earlier!
Capricorngirl
-
Charles Fergusson was governor general 1924–1930 and Bernard Fergusson 1962–1967
so neither fit into the time frame
-
Was just going to post that, Janette ;D
Also I remember seeing Sir Bernard and dad together at a school function and they were a similar height. This guy is quite short!
Annie
-
I think now, after due consideration ::) that it is indeed Sir Walter Nash. He certainly had the build in his younger days - and it isn't any of the others mentioned..........
-
This is Walter Nash in 1944,does he have a funny moustache
-
Ooops forgotten what I was going to post
-
I had to shrink it ;D ;D
-
As you can see I deleted the comment .....
I can see something faint above lip

During the S.W.W. Nash was a member of the War Cabinet ..... if that helps, apologise if this has been said before.
