Civil registration started in Ireland in 1864 and to search for earlier church records (if they still exist) you need to establish the family's religion and a detailed location for them - i.e. parish, town or townland.

Unfortunately no County Clare parish records are available online at the moment. See the Clare Library, Genealogy (http://www.clarelibrary.ie/eolas/coclare/genealogy/genealog.htm) website for information on further records.

Unfortunately, the original poster (rebecca florence) hasn't been online here since September 2014. If they have the same e-mail address they registered with on RootsChat and still have notifications for replies turned on, then they should receive an e-mail to tell them of your post.

Good Luck!
