I would appreciate it if someone could look up the marriage of John Davidson and Margaret Young, they were married on the 31st October 1829 in Aberdeen. I do not know what the marriage records would look like or what information is recorded. I would be interested in any additional information that is on the certificate. I am hoping this information could help me with which direction I would need to go to trace the parents of John Davidson, there is a possibility that he was from Dundee.

hi there, marriage on old parish reg. two entries so i think one in each parish for bride and groom i only looked at grooms.info thats thereis
by the reverend hugh hart married in a house in sugar house lane, john davidson seaman, married margaret young, daughter of william young joiner
in the parish of old machar in presence of these witnesses john forbes and james watt householders. thats all the info on it. i copied it if you want me to send it send me a p.m. with your email.

Thank you for this information, it has answered my question, but it has opened up a new line of enquiry, I will post these on the Aberdeen section.
Where can I go to find crew list, as John occupation was a seamen?
