In 1878 Rosamond Chapman. father William Christopher. mother Patience Lammermond. reg 23913
In 1880 William Christopher. father Chapman William Christopher. mother Patience Hallett Lammiman. reg. 26056
NSW http://www.bdm.nsw.gov.au/cgi-bin/Index/IndexingOrder.cgi/search?event=births
In 1881 CHAPMAN LOVELL E. father WILLIAM C mother PATIENCE H at URALLA reg. 24519

Hi
Judith, I'm sure PATTY is PATIENCE.
I think gogo will be glad to have your information. I think he did not have 1991 details.
Where is/was Ann Street. Is it close to Marlborough Terrace?

Hi to everyone,
Many thanks for your continued efforts, i do in fact have access to the census 1891 & 1901 and when i looked on the 1911 census i found William Chapman married Boorseller born Hull a patient in the Hull, Workhouse.
William's wife under the name of Pattie Chapman was house keeper to guess who!!
43 Marlborough Terrace (4 rooms)
Tom Riches, Head, age 61yrs, married, 40yrs, 2 children 1 died, Ships Fireman born Hull. (no sign of his wife)
Pattie Chapman, Housekeeper, 59yrs, married 34yrs, 11 children, 10 living, born Alford, Lincs,
Lovell Chapman son single age 29yrs, Labourer, born Queensland,
Sydney Chapman son single age 27yrs, Labouer born Sydney,
Jack Chapman son single age 19yrs labourer, born Hull.
So i guess you may be right and Mrs Tom Riches popped out again on the night of the 1911 census as well. ;D
Thank you all once again for the information you have supplied it is greatly appreciated.

Forgot to say that Ann Street is in Holy Trinity, so probably William suffered from depression or something like that with 10 children running around him, moved from West Sculcoates with two of his sons, Lovell and Ronald, to Holy Trinity and thats why he ended up in the Workhouse as a patient, as i see that his sons returned home to mum in 1911.
Obviously could not sell enough books to keep all his family!!!!!!!
Gogo.
