Title: Maiden name for Susan Ann Smith

Hello
I was wondering if someone could help me locate a maiden name.
My William Smith born in 1813 Hatfield Broad Oak, Essex shows on 3 different census with his wife
(b appx 1814 Hatfield, Broad Oak) Susan Ann or Susana or Susannah depending on which one you look at. They had 3 children Charles b1841 George b1849 and Susana b1851.

Thank you for any info you can provide  or for pointing me in the right direction.

If you send for one of the childrens birth certificates it will tell you the mothers maiden name.

The problem you have is that Smith is the most common surname in England also the childrens are common too, there are a number of possible births for them  :(

IGI has an extracted marriage record of a Wm Smith to  Susan Gregory 20.3.1842 Chigwell, Essex.   :-\

Hi, I have this family in my records, no maiden surname for Susan, but two more children Jane c1834 and Emma c1838 both born HBO.

As there are 2 earlier children then the marriage to Susan Gregory is unlikely.

IGI has an entry for William Smith to Susan Dixon, 11.6.1831  Saffron Walden,Essex. :-\

Isn't Hatfield, Broad Oak in Hertfordshire  :-\
