Looking for information on the Cayley family from New Zealand. Thomas Cayley travelled with his family on the Birman from Portland Dorset. He lived in New Zealand for 21 years then came across to Australia probably for the Gold rush in Ballarat. Does anyone have links or information on this family

- it seems they would have left in 1841 and arrived 1842. The full list shows several children.

- various early records in NZ papers. They seem to have been Wesleyan Methodist.
www.familysearch.org also shows a couple of baptisms for children of theirs, and a marriage in 1823 (Thomas Cayley to Mary Anne Price). Note that they married CoE (would have had to).

- probably a mention of his wife Mary as a witness in this court case.
