I am trying to trace my husband's great grandfather who was in the 5th Northumberland Fusiliers Colchester Barracks in Essex in 1886. HIs name was Thomas Haycock (born: 1868 Rugeley, Staffordshire). I have tried Ancestry.com, have looked at various websites, but all to no avail.  I am getting very frustrated.  Can anyone help?

His army papers are viewable on FindMyPast. He joined up in October 1886, was discharged in 1898.
