requesting lookup in baptismal records/register at King's Chapel Gibraltar.
In 2007, I had confirmation from the Chapel Archivist in that the record exists, but received no further information.
James Harle/Horle b November 1812 in Gib.
Parents: James Harle/Horle and Sarah (maiden name unknown). Father born Hutton, Somerset in 1783.
Father was on active duty with 9th Regiment of Foot, 2nd battalion.
Here is direct transcription from a portion of a family bible:
"James Horle born the 25th of Nov at Gibralter in the year of our Lord 1812"
Known surname variants: Harl, Harle, Horl, Horle, Horel, Hurl, Hurle
I would appreciate a transcription, or photocopy if possible.
Many, many thanks for your help.

I noted you were looking for details of births in Gibraltar c1812.
I too want to get similar information specifically about my GGGG grandfather Samuel Forrest who was married there in 1813. Samuel was a sergeant in 26th Foot regiment Cameronians.
Did you ever get any news?

Hello, John. No, I never got a response to this inquiry. I have been hoping some kind soul who is in Gibraltar would be able to go King's Chapel and look at the information for me.
