Hi there
Can anyone help me locate Fordyce Churchyard MIs? I am looking for Rhoderick Davidson married to Jean Gordon who went on to have Isabel Davidson 1748. She then married William Pierrie. Am new to this so any help would be great!!
Thanks
:)

As far as I am aware there is no published list of MIs for Fordyce. I would be delighted if someone is able to contradict me!

There is a list of unpublished inscriptions at
http://www.abdnet.co.uk/mi-index/

Yes, I was careful to say that I was, and I still remain, unaware of any published MIs for Fordyce. I have no doubt that they will appear in due course as a booklet, but for the moment you either have to go to Aberdeen or contact ANESFHS to get any information from them. Or, of course, go to Fordyce.

The website I linked to in my message above has a searchable name index for Fordyce. Select Kirkyard Indexes then Fordyce u/p from the list which appears on the left.

Yes. These are not the complete MIs; they are an index only. The MIs have not yet been published. For the moment you either have to go to Aberdeen or contact ANESFHS to get any information from them. Or, of course, go to Fordyce.

There is a book of MIs for Fordyce in the Heritage Centre in Elgin. I don't know when it was published - it's quite old, but it definitely includes the inscriptions and a cemetery plan. If you email the Centre they will look it up for you.
