Looking for any information on John Lamb born 12 May 1811 Legerwood, Berwickshire, Scotland. Parents John Lamb who was a hynd, and Elizabeth McKay (spelt Mccay on OPR birh certificate. Had sisters Agnes born 23 July 1809 and Margaret born 2 July 1813 all in Legerwood.

hi holly ,do you know if john went to canada,on family search there is a john lamb,birth year 1811,(age 70,1881 census)birth place scotland,occupation millwright/engineer,with a mary lamb birthplace quebec,age 69,ethnic origin both say scottish,religion congregational,census place wellington ward, ottawa, carleton ,ontario.hope this helps a little, :)   eva

There is a John Lamb intered at Lennel Coldstream.

Erected by Margaret Lamb in memory of her husband
John Lamb who died 10th Feb 1872 age 71
& Above Margaret Lamb died 25th January 1895 age 92.
