Title: New to Roots
Post by: Stephenbray46 on Saturday 01 May 10 18:31 BST (UK)
Hi Guys, I'm new to this so bear with me!  I'm researching the Brays from Hertfordshire and the Rouse's, Allisons and Jones from Wiltshire.

Hi Stephen, welcome to Rootschat.

There are lots of people who can help you on here, but you need to give as much information as you can - names, dates, what you already have etc.

It might also be better to post in the boards for the relevant counties eg Hertfordshire and Wiltshire as people on there may have access to parish records.

Good luck

Jan

Hi Stephen and welcome to rootschat :)

As Jan has said above, if you give some full names, dates and places, as afr as you know them, people will be able to help you dig  around for info.
her suggestion to post on county boards is also the way to go.

let us know how you get on ;D

Hi Stephen,

Welcome to Rootschat.   Once in the door it is hard to leave  ...... very addictive ;D

One thing to remember don't post any details on living people or post your email address on here.

When you have found your way around, and want a breather from searching take a look at the TOT boards where you can discuss anything you like, and will find some of us on those boards :D

Good luck in your search.

Cheers
KHP

Hi Stephen and a warm welcome to RootsChat!

As others have said, you will find that queries posted on the county boards, giving as much detail as you can or asking specific questions will get the best results for you.  RootsChatters are really helpful people, as I have found to my advantage, so good luck in your search.

Gillg  :)
