Title: Obituary Newbury
Post by: Milavia on Friday 30 April 10 17:14 BST (UK)
Can anyone please advise me how I may get hold of a copy of my cousins Obituary 24th June 1999.
She died at Newbury Dalecare Village. I have found the following reference on the internet:

FENWICK, Hilda Geraldine; ; ENG; Newbury W-N; 1999-6-24; argare.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you

Not sure about the reference (where did you find it?) and hadn't heard of a 'Dalecare Village' (it's actually in Stockcross a couple of miles from Newbury) but the most likely place to find an obit is in the local paper, the Newbury Weekly News.  Available on film at Newbury library.

Of course obits may also turn up in other places - usually linked to some aspect of the deceased's life (school magazine celebrating a notable former pupil, professional/organisational publications commemorating a former member of staff or notable practitioner of the profession, etc).

It is also very possible that the lady in question only came to the area to be at Dalecare - an obit could be in the local paper from where she came from.

Dalecare is/was a nursing home in the village of Stockcross just to the west of Newbury
