hi, im searching for any information on thomas hayes, stonemason born in 1795 in Beverly,st martin,he married Ann ? also of this parish, they had three sons, james born in gorton manchester in 1815, william born in 1826, john born in 1828,and elizabeth born in 1830,in beverly st martin,
any information would be appreciated.

wow,great response, yes you have the family im looking for,I have james marriage certificate 1843,he married ann peters,thomas hayes is his father, he is listed as a stonemason, ive searched for a stone mason named thomas hayes, but have only found the one in the 1941 census, this is great news,it ties in with everthing else, dont know much about thomas, and his family, i will keep on looking, would the beverly family research group, have records that might let me know more. this is the first time ive used a site like this, its great to get a quick response,many thanks.

Hi Paul,found Ann Hayes with son John in 1861 at 10 Wednesday mkt St Martin. She's 62 now, still a widow and landed proprietor(whatever that means,sounds posh!)John is a carver and guilder.
I think I've found William in 1861, still a stonemason but living at 26 Hamilton place Alford Lincolnshire

many thanks for the info, ive saved the documents, ive also found thomas hayes father and mother, and their parents, on family search .org, this site is brilliant, it seems like my ancestors are from York, will be arranging a visit next time I come to the uk. :)
