I have a distant cousin, Christopher Churchman, who was Station Master in Shildon on the 1901 census.
His address was shown as 4 Soho Cottages, which I believe is now a railway museum.
As a station master, would there be any record archives, rogues gallery photos etc?
Any leads appreciated.
cheers ... Paul

hi paul have you been on the national railway museum website (shildon) they might have a contact address that you could email or a local history group.

				Hi Neil ..
yep, there's a whole site on the Timothy Hackworth Museum, but no email or contact link that I could find.
http://www.railcentre.co.uk/museum/museum.htm
Maybe I missed it.

Shildon was on the North Eastern Railway. Staff records if they survive should be at the National Archive.
