Title: Some Advice
Post by: krusty on Sunday 25 April 10 14:47 BST (UK)
Hi all,
I will be in England for a week and wanting to try and do some of my family tree I am over there. My Wheeler ancesters are from these townships:
Eastleach Turville
Lechlade
Highworth
Duntisbourne Abbots.
My idea was to visit take all the information that I currently have and to visit the townships (curiosity), the family history society of Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire Record office and the national Archives and Libary. To do all this if time is permiting.

I was wondering if anyone can give me any advice or tips on how I should proceed.

Hi Krusty

These places are all within easy travelling distance of each other - but you would need to drive ideally.

What sort of guidance are you wanting?

Kind regards, Arranroots  ;)

p.s. They are towns and villages - we don't tend to use the term township generally.

Some guidance I'm after are places people recommend I need to see for information, (if I have the right place to go to). Also accommodation in the area, anyone know a good hotel?.

http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,394983.0.html              PS, a lot of  the births , marriages and deaths in the small villages surrounding Highworth will show as Highworth on ancestry.
