I have a great uncle , Herbert Angus, who emigrated with his wife Lilian, and son Herbert aged about 2. They left from Liverpool to Halifax on 17/03/1921 on a White Star Dominion ship called Canada.
Having looked at Halifax via Google, and Pier 21 information I realise they probably did not settle in Halifax as thousands of people docked there. Can anyone advice how I could find out where they moved to?
Although both Herbert and Lilian were English they met, married and lived in Scotland before they emigrated. Herbert was an iron turner.
Any help would be appreciated.

Detroit border crossing, 13 August 1929
Herbert Angus, age 35 years, 5 months, born London, England. He was travelling alone. Occupation: machinist. Living in E. Windsor, Ontario. Destination was Detroit, Michigan. Image is difficult to read, but it looks like: "purpose in coming and time remaining in U.S. - work perm." He was 5' 10", brown hair, blue eyes. Nearest relative in country whence alien came: Wife, Lillian Angus, 104 Du?, E. Windsor. (Perhaps someone else might be able to read the address. He also worked for Duncan ? Co.)
He arrived in Halifax on March 25, 1921 on board the Canada.

On the Form 30A for the Canada they were destined to an aunt, Mrs. F. Holdsworth 365 1/2 Horton St. London, Ontario.

Herbert and Lillian are buried St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Windsor(New) Essex County Sandwich East Township.

Many thanks Lisa and Debbie. This is great news, plus another enquiry I had an answer to which I picked up tonight. The pieces fit together well.
The previous query was about Matilda and Frank Holdsworth who I could not trace after their marriage in 1913. Another person has found what looks like their outward journey to Quebec in 1913.
Just for your information in case it will shed any more light; Herbert's date of birth 10/03/1894
Lillian's around 1890 and son Herbert , known as Bertie 18/12/1918.
I am surprised that the arrival date is not far off departure; one may be incorrect I will check my original passenger list again.
Can you please tell me where East Windsor is? Looks like that may be where the family settled.

If you use Canada411 you will find that the surname Angus is still quite prevalent in Windsor.

Debbie what an idiot I am- I could have done that! So it's Ontario then for both my families.

Hi all
Just a continuation of my enquiries: where will I be able to view the Detroit boarder crossing documentation and the Form 30A arrival documents?
Is there any way I could trace decedents from these families: ie. births, marriages and deaths. Are these on line in Canada?
