Title: Elizabeth Robinson a abt 1801 Abercorn and Margaret Culbert b 1816 Abercorn

These 2 ladies were both married to my relative, William Boag. Elizabeth married him 09 Jun 1821, and Margaret 08 Nov 1840.
I would like to find their parents.

Not sure if I can help, but my family name is Boag and I have ancestors in Lanarkshire, Scotland, and Norwich, Norfolk.    If you feel there may be a connection I would love to hear from you.

Hello Jeanette

My known Boags start with William b1801 Abercorn who married Elizabeth Robinson 09 Jun 1821, Ecclesmachan,  she died 1840. They had family - James b 1822,  John 1826-1831, Mary b 1828, William b 1829, Catherine 1833-1901,  Male Boag 1836-1836, and Elizabeth b 1836. William  then married Margaret Colbert 08 Nov 1840, in Abercorn, and they had family - Betsy b 1843, Agnes Nimmo 1847-1923, and Charles b 1848. William died 18 Sept 1872 in Abercorn, and Margaret died in 1889.

Wlliam's daughter Catherine married a James Wallace 22 Apr 1857 and they emigrated to Canada.

I have very little experience with Scots family, and I haven't managed to find William's parents at this stage.
