i iam trying to find out about Rachael

She appears to Marry Charles Monk 1887
and is on the 1911 census

Lismere Cottage Berkhamsted

charles monk 50  23 years no children -gamekeeper  ( pheasant farmer )   worker  Hemel H
rachael monk 48                                                                                            wendover
annie 22 neice  dressmaker                                                       own account       wendover
henry 20 assist  gamekeeper                                                     worker  wendover
frank 15 telegraph manager                                                     worker wendover


i am trying to find her parents

as i think the channer and bignall family are related
i have rachael channer married to richard bignall 1807
so i think this how they might be related

1871 census - which I will type out fully later as I am a bit pushed for time.

Rachael's parents were Robert and Mary Ann. Fortunately there is a brother in law James staying with the surname Tapping

thank you i had not noticed annie rachael channer living with charles monk on the 1901 census
i think she might be on there twice as i have as a visitor  in berhampsrtead

any way back to my mystery

i have found out that Rachael bignall
is sister to mary jane bignell married to Arthur cHanner  Parents of Annie, henry and Frank

From my research i found a reference to a Rachael Monk as a witness to arthur channer and mary jane`smarriage

then to my suprise i found that Robert Bignall/Bignell 1827from chesham father of rachael and mary jane

Parents were Richard Bignall 1784  And Rachael Channer 1788

What had thrown me was i had not connected mary jane and rachael   because of the spelling of the surname
Both  girls seem to have used a mixture of BIGNALL/ Bignell on different records

so it looks like i have a bit more following the famiy through

thank you for your help  i hadmissed annie  with charles and rachael monk and not followed through who rachael monk was
