Hi Everyone,
I'm trying to find the marriage of Randolph Churchill Henderson and Margaret Cowan Pearson or Marshall; it must have taken place after Margaret arrived in Canada in June 1920 but probably before 1924. She arrived in Winnipeg, Manitoba but it doesn't look like they married there. They had a son who was born circa 1923-4 so he could still be living. There was vague talk of them being in Vancouver at one point but I'm not sure how accurate that is.
I would also be grateful for any help in locating Randolph's death record/obituary notice as well; I know Margaret died in Australia in 1969 but I think Randolph remained in Canada. If anyone could also check for obituaries for the son I will PM them his name just in case he is still living. Thanks.

I didn't get any results...I tried a few combinations...
You can try your own luck here:

Hi China,
Thanks for looking; I'd already tried that website as well and came up blank. It looks like this one might prove elusive.

Hey, I tried the British Columbia site and got a hit....but I can't see how to access it. It just says there's a result, but I can't get to it :P :P :P
You try!

I just tried my own grandmother, who died in Vancouver in 1980. Nothing.
I'm not sure about their search engine.... :P

Hi China - thanks for trying!
I think you're right about the search engine on that website. I don't think it's a BMD search somehow.
I think I've found Randolph on the 1901 census in Frontenac, Ontario and the 1916 census in Winnipeg Centre, Manitoba but I can't get any further than that. If that is him then he would have been born in 1893 in Ontario to parents David and Margaret A. Henderson and he had an older sister Madaline W Henderson born 1891.
Not sure if any of that helps with his marriage and death details but you never know!
I've also been looking for him in the military records as he would have been the right age to serve during WWI but I haven't found anything as of yet.

This is the link to the search engine for BMDs in British Columbia:
http://search.bcarchives.gov.bc.ca/sn-3328C7/gbsearch/Births,Marriages,Deaths
But I didn't get any hits on BMDs or the search of all records so it doesn't look like he died in BC. I think that first link was a general search to the Vital Events page and the result I got was a genealogy pdf.......I think the "hit" was for Henderson as in Henderson's Directories and nothing to do with your fellow.

Hi Lynwyn,
Thanks for trying; you're entirely correct about the other search page as I got the same genealogy pdf too.
It's a shame as I thought with such a name he wouldn't have been that difficult to find but he's proving elusive!
