Title: IGI help
Post by: frek on Saturday 17 April 10 08:34 BST (UK)
I have an IGI entry (from fiche) which I think might be correct but no parish name is given. Is there any way of tracing the location please?

The  entry is for Andrew Gillrie  - parents Andrew Gilrie and Ann Bell.
Date December 1810.
Any help appreciated.
Thank you.

This is a submitted entry by a member of the LDS Church. and is to be treated with caution

The Batch number is all  numeric  being LDS member submitted entries and which may have varying degrees of accuracy and reliability

As Stan says, never rely on submitted entries.  But even if it is right, if the submitter hasn't put down the place name then the chances are that he/she didn't know it.

Have you got this man on the 1851 and, if so, where does he say he was born?
