have you looked for the family on the 1911 census (free) - see : http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/

The 1901 census details are due to be added to the same website later this year.

The church records for West Cork are due online later this year and while they may not go much past 1900 you may be lucky so keep an eye on www.irishgenealogy.ie

I was in Skibereen last year, hoping to look at some records, but they no longer keep them. They sent them all to Cork.

Looks like I'll have to go again!!

I'll probably do that. I'd like to search the records myself, as I think it's more fun and you're more likely to pick up other potential family members.

I don't need an excuse to go to Cork, just the money.
