Hi
I'm really excited I've just discovered the name of my great x 2 grandmother. She was Christine Rosine Margarethe Mueller and she married my great x 2 grandfather Johann Georg Mohr on the 8th October 1840. This information came from a second cousin who found it amongst her late parents' papers.
Is there anyway I can get their marriage certificate? Their second daughter who emigrated to England gives her place of birth as Wurtlemburg and a later son gives his as Zweiflingen, so I presume the marriage would have taken place in that area. On my great grandmother's marriage certificate she says her father (Johann Georg Mohr) was a cooper.
How easy is it to find births in Germany - ie Christine and Johann? I don't speak any German ;)
Thanks
Jan

Thank you for that.
I've just found the marriage under his name and it gives his parents names :D :D :D
Strange though as it doesn't give the marriage under her name, so at the moment I'm still searching for her parents.
It's a lot more than I thought I'd find, so thank you again.

Dear Jan
I read with interest a posting of yours a while back about your aunt living in the same house all her life. I hope you don't mind me writing to you.
I'm a writer and editor for The Guardian in London, and am looking for someone who has done just this!
Do you think your aunt might be interested in speaking to me about her experience?
I don't think I'm allowed to leave contact details, but perhaps you could personal message me here?
Many thanks, and kind regards
Hannah Booth
