Hi there
Marriage details are
Location: Warbleton, East Sussex, Date: 18 Apr 1836:
Bride: Mary DALLAWAY, spinster
Groom: George AVARD, bachelor
Both of this parish
Married by Banns.
In the 1841 census there are 5 entries for the Surname AVARD in Warbleton
1. George (25) Married to Mary (20) with three children and a brother Thomas aged 14 ? - i.e. your family.
2. John Avard aged 72 and Elizabeth aged 76
3. Thomas Avard, 35, with 4 young children
4. John Avard, aged 20
5. James Avard aged 20
Would suggest from the above that George, John and James were brothers, but John Senior and Elizabeth I believe are too old to be their parents. I dont know where Thomas would fit in, but he is of the age to have John & Elizabeth as parents.
Incidentally, there are 7 entries for Dallaway / Dalloway

:( only one Avard marriage listed in Warbleton, might be useful to you to later on
Fanny Avard married Henry Gurr in Warbleton 23rd October 1820, again no parents
Suey
ps - very odd ??? I can find that marriage on the IGI by searching for Mary Dallaway but not if I search for William Avard

Hi
Trying to locate the witnesses to the marriage
According to the 1841 census, DEMUS Dallaway was living next door to George & Mary.
As yet, can not locate this Martha Avard

Hi solo
Don't know whether you are still looking for this one but I've just started on the Avard family and have William Abard marrying Charlotte Ellis on 5 October 1804 at Lewes, St Thomas Cliffe. He was of Warbleton. By licence.
The licence adds he was a widower of Warbleton Yeoman. She was a spinster of St Thomas Cliffe, Lewes. Sponsors WA and John Ellis.

KerryB - I love you she is the only gap in my Avard tree. Ellis makes perfect sense as my Great Aunt married an Ellis that owned the Warbil-in-Tun pub in the 1920's.Probably a cousin.

Hi
Happy to be of service ;) ;D
Now if only I could find John's marriage, who is, I believe William's brother.
Happy Christmas :)
