Title: Long Ashton parish registers - PRIGG Marriage lookup
Post by: ronsaghey on Monday 12 April 10 00:56 BST (UK)
Hi:

I'm looking for a marriage for a Thomas Prigg. Free BMD has listing for him in the June quarter 1839 in the Bedminster district. I know that he was born in Long Ashton in 1816 and was living there on the 1841 census, so I *think* it's likely that he also married in Long Ashton but I would like to confirm my theory. Thanks.

Hi, I notice this post is an old one - but thought I'd send you a message anyway! Many of my ancestors reign from Long Ashton (Beachams) - and most of their birth/marriage records, although taking place in Long Ashton - have Bedminster as the "district".... my assumption is that Bedminster covered Long Ashton as part of it's catchment area...
Best wishes

Hi:

Bedminster did cover Long Ashton. I did find the marriage and it was in Long Ashton. Thanks for the information.
