Title: St. Mary's. Limerick (Catholic Church)
Post by: murphy girl on Sunday 11 April 10 12:35 BST (UK)
Does anyone know if there was a St. Mary's Catholic Church anywhere in Co. Limerick in 1845.

I am trying to trace great great grandparents who were both Roman Catholic and were married at St. Mary's . on 20/11/1845.  I know there was a St. Mary's Cathedral but as this was a Church of Ireland  church I am not too sure if catholics would have been married there.
Names of people are: Michael Murphy and Margaret Gribbins.
Thank you,
Murphy girl.

There's an RC  parish named St. Mary's in Limerick City - see Irish Times Parish Details Limerick City (http://www.irishtimes.com/ancestor/fuses/rcparishmaps/index.cfm?fuseaction=showlikerecords&CityCounty=Limerick%20city&parish=Limerick)

I am researching  Michael Murphy and Margaret Gribbins
who migrated to Melbourne.  I am helping my niece whose mother was a daughter of Thomas Murphy and Jessie Green
who were married in 1875.  Thomas was the son of Michael and Margaret Gribbins. I look forward to hearing from you.
