Benjamin BULMER, arrived on 'Lord Melville', voyage date 29 May 1830, tried at York, 20 March 1830, sentence 14 years listed as no 251 NSW New South Wales Convict Pardons , 1834-1838. Seems to have another number also - 232.
There are some mentions of him on the digitised newspapers of the Australian National Library.
The Maitland Mercury & Hunter River General Advertiser, Saturday 15 November 1845 has a notice saying that the goods and effects of the late Benjamin BULMER are to be sold at Dagworth - don't know where that is.
Same paper, 13 December 1845, has an account of a robbery committed by others against their master - Benjamin. Also says he was apparently killed by a dray passing over him.
The Sydney Gazette and New South Wales Advertiser, Saturday 11 March 1837 has notice of granting ticket-of-leave, residing in Windsor district at that time.
There are a couple of others - he apparently lived in Maitland at the time of his death, occupation: carter.
I searched using his name, and dates between 1830 and 1859.

Edit to add: Therre are also a couple of mentions of him in NSW government on-line indexes

Sorry about the email address but I have a lot of information which would probably bore everone on this site so it seemed the best way to get in touch. I didn't realise that there was a 'safe' way to pass this sort of info. on. I'll try and do better in future. :)
Luckily xpq194z contacted me before the address was removed. Strangely enough he was on line at the same time. Odd how things work out sometimes!
