Good Morning,
Is there a kind soul who would be willing to take a photo of the Croydon Town War Memorial where it shows the name of Ernest Sheward who sadly died in WW1, please?
Thanks from Enots.

i didn't think the town memorial had any names on it.its just says in grateful memory of those who died in 1914-1918 and any battles afterwards.or something like that/ you might find his name in the croydon parish church though.croydon local studies library might be able to help.i can send you a pic if you want.but it doesn't have any indiviuals names on it..

Moggie,
Thanks for telling me your findings on the Croydon Town Memorial.
Two years ago i was in touch with the Town Council and gave them lots of info about my relative Ernest Sheward with what i thought were plans to inscribe his name on the Memorial. How wrong can one be!!
I have a photo from a website but would love a more up todate one.
Cheers from Enots.
