Hello. I'm brand new to this forum and indeed the search for my relatives. As I'm pretty green to all this I maybe doing something wrong but I am unable to find dates of death for both my Great Grandma and Great Grandad. I know they are both buried at Dan Y Graig cemetery.
I wonder if anyone is able to help locate the graves and would be willing to photograph them for me please. It would involve checking the cemetary register sorry, as I do not have plot numbers. I'm not sure if there are gravestones even..
Names are:
William Henry Green (died possibly 1939-1942)
Mary Ann(e) Green nee James (1960-63ish!)
Quite possibly they have children with them my Nan was their youngest and is the only one still alive. She is a little hazy on all details.
Thank you in advance for any help

Hallo Pip,
Welcome to Rootschat!
I cannot help you with searching for the graves, but I found the following death on www.freebmd.org in the hope that the cemetery you are looking for is in East Glamorgan :)
William H Green age 74, Reg No: Dec Quarter 1936 E. Glamorgan 11a 943
Mary A Green age 48, Reg No: Sept Quarter 1941 E. Glamorgan 11a 1154
Of course, I am not sure how old your relatives were at the time of death. The one for a Mary A Green seems a little young to me because you have given a time frame of 1960-63, but that was the only one I could find that might fit.
There are a couple of deaths for a Mary A Green in Swansea, but they are either much earlier, or too young.
We can then take it from there.

Wow thanks Viv- that was super fast!!
Yes I just spoke to Nan (my clocks have just changed here so 11 hours difference makes it easier than the 13 that it was!)
Her Mum was quite old when she died- near 80 yrs old. She thinks her dad would have been around 55, so don't think either of these match but she could be mistaken.... She definitely knows that they both died in Swansea.
I've been trying to access that swansea site for the past 2 days and it's not responding...very frustrating, same goes for another site swanseaheritage which seems to appear in every google search I do regarding my search.
Thanks again, I really appreciate your help!

Danygraig cemetery supervisor's number is here;
http://www.abertawe.gov.uk/index.cfm?articleid=927&contactid=2429
His name is Jason and he is very helpful; if you can find out the plot numbers and whether there are stones, I should be able to go and take photos for you.

General enquiry: Is there any way of telling if this thread was ever closed?
Pip: Are you still active?
Did you ever get your grave locations within the cemetery?
Did you ever get your photographs?
